Performer, creator, accordion rockstar and the original piano party starter, Courtney Severini has established herself as one of Australia's most sought after pianist and vocalist.
A B O U T
A University of Melbourne graduate in classical piano and with Master of Creative Music Therapy, Courtney launched her performance career with a five year residency on Hayman Island Resort, honing her chops and intuitive gift for reading the room like old friends.
Celebrated for her stellar musicianship and versatility, Courtney effortlessly floats through jazz, world music, rock, blues and classic repertoire. Embracing improvisation, this multi-lingual chanteuse can croon her way through just about any musical brief, enchanting audiences from intimate cocktail bars to the concert stage.
With her alter ego “Piano Accordion Lady”, she is a regular fixture on the Cabaret and festival circuit, polka-fying everything from Chisel to Kylie. Paired with her knack for spontaneity, no one performance is ever the same.
Whether fronting her quirky Italo-Rockabilly band, Spaghetti Jive, jazz quartet (SIMA Woman’s Jazz Festival) or on tour (Patrizio Buanne, Tina Machine, Squeeze Queens, Ita & the Choirgirls) Courtney shines brightly, with her signature authenticity and playful style.
